Whether you’re brand new to painting or looking to deepen your creative skills, this 5-week series is the perfect place to explore the colors and leaves of October on Vancouver Island. You’ll be introduced to the signature Art Adventures painting style used across all of Alicia’s programs—this time blending watercolor and acrylic techniques to create soft, luminous works full of depth and atmosphere. Through step-by-step guidance, you’ll experiment with combining the flowing transparency of watercolor with the layering strength of acrylics. Learn to create misty skies, glowing light effects, and textured natural scenes. Along the way, you’ll complete two finished landscape pieces—each capturing the serenity and dreamlike beauty of nature. The 2 images we are working from are seen in this post. This class is perfect for beginners and intermediate painters who want to develop new techniques and create artwork with a soft, expressive touch.
