Bringing together watercolor and acrylics in magical ways, we will explore techniques with both mediums together on canvas. Using watercolour on canvas has a unique feel and lends well to creating depth and desired lighting effects that marry well with Acrylics. The focus will be on painting whimsical landscapes, and we will add in some animal silhouettes. In this 5 week painting series you will learn about brush mark-making and how to use different brushes for desired effects. You will learn about colours, lighting, layering, and more. This is for beginners who want to learn the basics and for intermediate painters who are looking to add to their repertoire of skills. This class is based in landscape painting, but the skills are transferable to painting floral and other forms of art. We will paint 2 canvas paintings over the course of the 5 weeks- building on the paintings from class to class. ~ supplies are included, you don't need to bring anything ~these tend to be filled with 50% teens and 50 % adults, some adults are concerned about being with too many teens please note that many of these teens are at the age of being very quiet and inner focused, they come and LOVE art and are extremely talented young artists to be inspired by Choose pay in person for the option to email money transfer, and the total can be sent to alicia@artadventures.ca
