In this series we will be doing a different drawing each with for the beginning of the classes (as opposed to painting in the Tues/Wed series). Kids can leave them as drawings or color them using watercolor pencils, paint pens, chalk pastels, felts and more. In this 6-week series, children will explore a range of creative techniques and materials including needle felting, drawing, watercolour pencils, and painting. Students will learn about colour theory, brush types, washes, and layering techniques, while building confidence and creative skills through hands-on practice. The series includes step-by-step instruction to guide children through the creation of a realistic needle felted sculpture, where they’ll learn foundational needle felting methods and how to shape their own imaginative creatures. This class is designed to support artistic growth in a fun, relaxed environment, with plenty of opportunity for personal expression and exploration. Location: Classes are held at the new studio: 1491 McPhee Avenue, Unit 1 (across from Courtenay Elementary). Parking is available inside the gated area. Registration Notes: When registering, you’ll be asked to select the first class date only; registration includes the full 6-week series.
