For Christmas, our adult family treated ourselves to a series of 5 art classes with “Art Adventures” Alicia is the owner and the instructor. We thoroughly enjoyed our sessions with her. We were taught the “Van Gogh” method of layering colours. This was new to me but I found it very interesting and the results were much better than any of us expected. I would recommend her to anyone, young or older to take the challenge of painting with Acrylic.

"My two children 8 and 10 both loved attending Art Adventures.  They would always come home with incredible art pieces, but more importantly had an amazing time in a safe and caring environment. Alicia always took in their ideas for art projects and it is the one program they have never complained about attending.  I would definitely recommend this to any child regardless of artistic ability. It was a fantastic online class. Really good teacher. She explained each step well and why we did each step which we love, allowed a bit of extra time between steps and gave clear instructions. Very impressed. Excellent class, will take more!

I feel that Alicia has a caring, empathetic, creative approach to working with children. As a teacher myself, I see these as beneficial qualities when interacting with children. She communicates with them in a way that makes them feel safe and loved. I highly recommend Alicia for a position working with children.

Alicia worked as a caregiver/nanny in my home for my children, aged 8/9 and 5/6, in 2016 and 2017. She would go above the call of duty by doing elaborate crafts with the children (making dream catchers, teaching painting techniques, and working with clay to name a few) and taking them on outings to the SPCA and different cultural displays.

 

It was evident that Alicia was not just a care provider but cared deeply for the boys. My husband and I felt confident and at ease when leaving our children with her. Had we not moved away, I would still have Alicia working with our family. My boys still reminisce about their time with Alicia.
