Creativity & Curiosity
Art Adventures encourages imagination, curiosity and creative exploration. Our artwork and projects may draw inspiration from mythology, folklore, fantasy, different cultures, symbolism and spiritual traditions from around the world.
An Eclectic Creative Space
Our studio walls are filled with hundreds of artworks, including Egyptian mythology, goddesses, dragons, mermaids, mandalas, chakra imagery, oracle-card artwork and other symbolic and fantastical imagery. Children sometimes ask about what they see, and we're comfortable having age-appropriate conversations about the stories and ideas behind the artwork.
Everyone Is Welcome
Art Adventures is an LGBTQ+ friendly and inclusive space. Children and families come from many different backgrounds, identities, cultures and family structures. Everyone is expected to treat one another with kindness and respect.
Different Beliefs Are Welcome Too
Families are welcome to hold their own religious or spiritual beliefs. Art Adventures isn't a religious program and doesn't teach children what they should believe. At the same time, we don't avoid art, mythology, identities or ideas because they may conflict with a particular religious worldview.
By choosing to participate in Art Adventures programs, families are expected to understand and be comfortable with the inclusive and eclectic nature of our studio and with their children being exposed to the artwork, stories, symbolism and age-appropriate conversations that naturally arise within this environment.
We respect the beliefs families hold at home, and in return, we ask families to respect the values and environment we have created here.
