SpringBreakCamp- Turtle Trails
4 day camp Age 5-13 Mon-Thurs 11-2 March 30- april 2
Service Description
Step into the quiet magic of the forest floor, where turtles wander slowly along sunlit paths and tiny woodland friends peek out from behind mushrooms and flowers. This nature-themed camp invites kids to explore the whimsical world of forest trails, curious critters, and the calm, steady wisdom of the turtle. For our main painting project, we will recreate a stunning woodland scene featuring a friendly turtle surrounded by forest animals. Kids will learn how to paint soft light, glowing colours, textured shells, and the tiny details that bring a magical forest to life. Kids will also get to adopt their own little mini turtle figurine and design a cozy trail-side habitat or hideaway for it using fabrics, clay, mossy textures, cardboard, and mixed media. This project gives children the chance to imagine the adventures their turtle might have along the forest trails and build a home perfect for its personality. Throughout the 4-day camp, children will explore a variety of mediums including acrylics, watercolour, needle-felting, sculpture, and mixed media. They’ll take home high-quality art projects that they feel proud of and enjoy a variety of extra activities such as storytelling circles, drawing games, hula hooping, and a walk to the park at Courtenay Elementary. Outdoor art projects may also be included depending on the weather. A deposit will be taken now and the remaining amount will be paid online through a link prior to the course, or can be paid by email money transfer to alicia@artadventures.ca My booking system will only show the first day of the camp on the calendar; however, the price of 233 includes all 4 days and all supplies.
