Step into a world where colours shimmer, magic swirls in the air, and every child gets to explore their own unique brand of enchantment! Inspired by the themes of Wicked—courage, friendship, individuality, and defying expectations—this camp invites kids to create powerful magical objects and imaginative fantasy designs while building confidence and creativity. We will be re-creating this classic image seen here with acrylic on canvas. For our main creative project, each child will design and personalize their very own Spellbook Journal. Using stickers, metallic markers/paint pens, and mixed media elements, kids will create a magical book filled with spells, symbols, and intentions that reflect their inner strengths and creative spark. Another highlight of the week will be our Witch Hat Fashion Design Project, where kids get to design and build their own witch hat using felt, fabric, embellishments, and creative add-ons. Each hat becomes a fashion statement, a character story, and a burst of imagination unique to the child who made it. We’ll also be crafting Magic Wands using sticks, clay, wire, beads, and metallic paints. Kids can invent what kind of magic their wand holds, choosing colours and symbols that represent their witch or wizard persona. If time and interest allow, kids can work together to create characters and props for a small Shadow Puppet Show—a fun and optional group activity where they bring their own magical story to life. Throughout this 4-day camp, children will explore a variety of artistic mediums including drawing, mixed media, sculpture, textiles, and light theatrical creativity. They’ll take home high-quality projects they feel proud of. A variety of other activities—storytelling circles, drawing games, hula hooping, and a walk to the park at Courtenay Elementary—will also be part of the day. We may even explore some outdoor art depending on the weather. A deposit will be taken now and the remaining amount will be paid online through a link prior to the course, or can be paid by email money transfer to alicia@artadventures.ca My booking system will only show the first day of the camp on the calendar; however, the price of 233 includes all 4 days and all supplies.
