In this series, we’ll explore colour and movement through expressive brushwork inspired by masters like Vincent van Gogh. You’ll begin by practising on paper, learning mark-making techniques and how to create a sense of motion—especially in water—before applying these skills to a final canvas painting. We will be creating the 2 images in this post, one of a colorful wave and the other of a whale breaching. This class is perfect for beginners as well as those with some painting experience. I’ll guide you step by step, making the process approachable, creative, and enjoyable for all skill levels.
