Soul family - the story of the sudden tragic death of a family member, and how this opened up the process of hearing and channelling through Art

As I began to paint what I knew was going to be the largest scale canvas of all, the only information I had was that it was going to be a multidimensional image. I began to paint the universe, drawing mandalas to represent the planets. When I woke up one morning to scan in the mandalas from my sketch book (so I could print them at the scale required to transfer them to the canvas), my computer suddenly died!

By this point, I was getting used to the way each painting brought about random experiences and processes for me to go through, so I immediately sat down with my journal to explore with spirit and my higher self what the meaning of this situation might be. I was informed that I would find out that day why my computer died, and that I was to move forward with the process in another way. So, I went to my dad's house to scan in the images. As I was in the room scanning, he returned home from getting some groceries, and when I came out to the kitchen he was sitting with his eyes rolling back in his head. I yelled out to him and he gasped for air, but he wasn't able to get air to his lungs. I made a call, and before I knew it nine paramedics were in the room working hard to save his life. But it was too late: he had already crossed over to the other side. As I hugged one of the police officers, I looked over her shoulder to see the digital clock displaying the angel number 111,  just as another police officer spoke the words into his recorder: “Allan Lumb, time of death 1:11.”

The angels had already been communicating with me through numbers in this way, so I knew in that moment that it was all going to be okay, and that this was indeed all a part of the teaching I was moving through in bringing forth the painting, that this too was destined to happen. My father’s death was a part of the soul purpose of the Mariposa project, and having him on the other side with my mom and cousin would create even more miracles in my life. I knew that he too was a part of Mariposa’s birth into this world, and that made the grieving process gentler than it may have been otherwise. I felt as though I was being held in a loving embrace by my angels and ancestors who surrounded me. His death was a part of the healing process I had to go through before I could embody the truth of Mariposa, transforming a long history of karmic ancestral unraveling that tied into the role religion played in my family’s separation from heart-centered living.

Through all of these significant changes, I was becoming increasingly aware of the accumulation of symbolic numbers, to a degree that could not be ignored.

Although I haven't been associated with the religion of my upbringing since I was eleven, it was no coincidence that our family chose the song number 111 titled “He will call” from the song book of that church. And, to my surprise, the service of his death was held on the anniversary of the date that I was originally due to be born had I not been taken out early by cesarean section because of religious conflict with Valentine’s Day, the scheduled due date. Of course the number 111 appeared again when I received his ashes with the cremation tag number 11109; it was symbolic of both my mother and father in spirit, since 09 was the year that my mother had passed away.

I was only beginning to scratch the surface of understanding how mathematical and symbolic this universe really is, and how numbers are a powerful way of communicating with the realm of spirit. My cousin Jeagher’s motocross race number was 59, which is the number he uses to connect to the consciousness of people on earth. I also discovered that 59 is the numerological code of the name Jesus Christ (calculated using the Chromatic Cipher numerology system), and so the return of Christ-consciousness became the underlying theme of the cards.

I knew there would be 59 cards in the Mariposa deck, and when they were nearing completion, I was directed towards an online article about the origins of a standard deck of playing cards which were originally created and used for divination by the Order of Magi; it was the Magi who were led to the birth of Jesus by the divine sign of the North Star. The Order of Magi were astrologers and magicians who were said to have known the secrets of the universe and who created a system of divination for sharing and preserving these profound truths. According to this ancient card divination system, my birth card is the ace of spades, which is the very symbol for the Order of Magi. I felt a soul resonance when I discovered this, and it coincided with my destiny to bring forth a modern day system of divination for sharing astrological, universal, and magical truths. I understood that there are 13 cards in each of four suits in a deck of standard playing cards, totaling 52. In the Mariposa deck, the addition of the seven chakra cards brought the total number of cards to 59, perfectly matching the number that had been predetermined by the number of Jeagher and Jesus.

But the great wonder of this time was my own rebirth and how it connected to my awareness of the rebirth of Christ-consciousness on the planet.

The “death” of my computer began a chain of events which allowed me to be present at my father’s passing. The multidimensional painting I had been working on at that time evolved into an endless row of rabbits on the edge of the earth looking up at the galaxy, with the meaning that we are all brothers and sisters of the earth: we are more than individual family units when we are united through the one heart. This image came to signify my rebirth into my global family. It was a major shift in my further awakening into my expanded self, and I began to live the life I was born to live.

To my delight, I was given a spirit name as a part of this re-birth: Mariposa. It was both the name of my higher self and of the project itself, because we are one energetically. I think of my birth name as the “little me” and Mariposa as the “big me”: my higher self, the part of me that is connected to spirit and divine love (God) at all times. It is my Goddess name!

Of course, I discovered later that the numerology of both the name Mariposa and my birth name, Alicia Lumb, each total the master messenger/teacher number 11 which, according to name numerology, is said to represent transformation.

Mariposa (Spanish for butterfly) is the perfect name to represent the transformation I underwent while creating the cards and the book. All 59 card images have energetic blueprints of this path of personal transformation through self-empowerment, and the processes involved are effective for all those who open to their own transformations.

Here is the story the goes along with the card attached to this story, the card of the Rabbits:

An endless row of rabbits holding hands stretches across the surface of the earth while gazing up at the galaxy. There are infinite brothers and sisters with only one mother and father; they don’t need a small family unit because they are united through the one heart of divine love (God), making all of earth's inhabitants part of one big soul family.

The synergy of the galaxy conspires to create harmony among all living organisms and is designed to work cohesively for the good of the whole. In the center, a tree is merging with the sun and moon, drawing energy down through itself to the earth, providing life force energy for all of earth's inhabitants.

The colored auras of the rabbits glow against the night sky, representing their many unique qualities. Just as the coming together of the full spectrum makes the rainbow so beautiful, the multicolored auras of the rabbits illustrate how unity is a gift of perfection.
